Anti-bullying. Discipline.
Our Youth Jiu-Jitsu program runs on a similar
class syllabus as our adult program. It focuses on
movement repetition which ultimately develops
muscle memory and a greater understanding of
key details, tailored toward a younger learner.
Students of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will learn both
physical control with their opponents and self-
control while under pressure, as well as basic
striking for self-defense. They will gain better
flexibility, limb and hip awareness, strength, and
self-confidence. Multiple forms of bullying are
also discussed and integrated into the course
material, forming a sense of responsibility of
their learned skill set.
Zero contact. At your own pace.
Fitness kickboxing was created to help meet
your fitness goals while learning how to defend
yourself in a pressure-free and contact-free
environment. Combative sports might not be
for everyone and ECS understands that
physical contact is not in everyone's comfort
zone. You will be corrected on technique and
stance in order to fully understand your body's
reaction to stress and how to defend yourself.
Student insight on goal areas are taken into
consideration every class when exercise
movements are being chosen.
Discipline. Confidence building.
At ECS, our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is
developed by our coaching staff who are active
belt-holding competitors and dedicated
lifetime students of the sport. BJJ is and has
been the most dominant submission grappling
art known to man. The program incorporates
wrestling and self-defense applications to
round out the grappling disciplines with all of
our coach's military, competitive and real
world experiences.
Sharp technique. Grit.
With Mixed Martial Arts evolving, so many
striking disciplines are proving their dominance
within the sport. The coaching staff at ECS has
trained with strikers from multiple varying
forms. Over the years, we have found through
experience, that our preferred style is a
mixture of striking styles heavily influenced by
Dutch style, western boxing/kickboxing with a
Muay Thai influence from the clinch. Coaches
work side by side with students, creating a
motivating environment.
Anti-bullying. Discipline.
ECS coaches believe firmly in shaping the young
minds of our future. Focusing on camaraderie,
physical well-being, much-needed social skills,
ethics, bullying and numerous other positive
skills needed for young minds to grow into a
well-rounded respectful individual. We teach
stretching techniques and key movements that
will help them be successful in a combative
sports environment as well as perform
numerous low-impact workout movements to
keep your little one active. Bring them in to get
some of their pent-up energy released while
having a blast on the ECS mats!

Multi-Dimensional. Perseverance.
Mixed Martial Arts has become just as popular
as most other professional sports. At ECS, our
MMA program goes great with our Kickboxing
and Jiu-Jitsu programs. Our coaching staff have
worked hard to develop a program that
bridges the gap between our striking and
grappling curriculum. MMA focuses more on
wall work, sprawl and brawl, ground and
pound. This class ties our striking, footwork
and clinching from kickboxing in with the level
changes, ties, takedowns and throws from
western PA wrestling, coupled with the
positioning, control and submission of BJJ. If
you are interested in competition, we have a
fight manager to help bridge the gap between
promoters and the athletic commission so you
as the competitor can focus on your fight
camp.
